4 oz Spirulina Powder

Spirulina in dry powder form can be used as an instant green water solution for direct invertebrate feed (ex. Gammarus shrimp, Daphnia magna, Daphnia pulex, Moina, freshwater copepod).
Spirulina (Arthrospira) is a multicellular cylindrical cyanobacteria that thrives in tropical and subtropical water with high pH. Due to its high nutritional value, Spirulina is widely used in aquaculture feed. The blue-green plant plankton is a good source of protein, vitamins, minerals, and all essential fatty acids. In addition, the high content of beta carotene in Spirulina is valued as a natural color enhancer in both fish and invertebrates.
In some cases, it can be difficult to feed Spirulina to fish, such as strictly carnivorous fish. By gut-loading live fish food with Spirulina, picky eaters can benefit from its health promoting properties as well. In fact, this mimics the feeding cycle in their natural environments.
